Innocence
So, we're playing with the puzzle blocks and singing, "If you're happy and you know it". I said, "Smack your blocks together". DD said, "Smack your butt". Sheesh.

C is for Cookie
It's not quite 10am and DD and I have already made over 8 dozen cookies (yeah, so 4 dozen of them were the place and bake variety, but the others were labor intensive). We made some trees and snowmen (place and bake) and then made sandwiches with them - using frosting and then rolling them in colored sugar. Then we made stained glass cookies (we even crushed the candies ourselves). Lastly, we made a batch of Reindeer cookies (sugar cookies with pretzel antlers, chocolate chip eyes, and m&m noses). Yummo! Sadly, my camera broke on Sunday, so you'll just have to take my word for it. All photographic evidence is still encased in a disposable camera. I'm tired.

First snow
Today was the first time it snowed and stuck. And guess what we did? We made a kite and went kite flying in the backyard. For weeks now, my DD has been bugging me to make a kite. I keep saying in the spring we can do it. When she saw the snow today, she called it sprinkles and then decided it was time to make a kite. So, when DS was down for his nap, we make a kite. A pretty goofy looking one, but whatever - she's three. We took it outside and ran around a few times. It didn't fly (go figure).

So, she asked to make a different one (because maybe a differently folded piece of paper would fly better in now wind?!) and I said no. Then she flew her kite around the house
a few times; and got bored (glad I didn't spend a lot of money on a real kite!)

The yucks
By a show of hands - who is tired of hearing my multitude of stories about puke and poop? Raise them higher - I can't see you. Oh well - if you are, quit now.
This week I have done a load of dirty sheets every morning. Why? you ask. Because my son keeps pooping out of his diaper. Lovely. Poop I can handle. No problem. But last night after checking on DD, I heard DS coughing in his room. Having just checked on him and seen no problems, I thought I would go back and make sure he was okay. Oh, he was so NOT okay. His bed was filled with puke and he was lying smack in the middle of it. I got as close as I could without throwing up myself and then patiently waited for Daddy to get back from walking the dog. DH cleaned up the puke and I cleaned up the boy. EW!
When we went to bed we jokingly said, set the alarm for 3am so we can check and make sure there are no surprises in the morning. Well, at 2:45 a little girl's voice was heard saying, "Mommy, I'm really very thirsty". Meanwhile, I'm still trying to figure out where this voice is coming from - I was in the middle of a very confusing dream, and we had just rearranged our bedroom, so the bed was in a new location and I was just very disoriented. Anyway - got DD her drink and put back to bed, and since it was almost 3, I checked on DS. Snoring away, no puke in sight.
DH checked on the boy again before he left for work - congested, but no puke.
When I got him this morning - puke in the bed, on this clothes (cause I was out of jammies!), in his hair. You name it, there is was. Man, did he smell. But he is in good spirits. Which I totally can't understand, cause when I feel poorly, the last thing I want to do is run around and play games. But, then, I'm not 1 anymore.
I'm tired of doing laundry.

Cookie Madness
I spent 6 hours on Saturday baking cookies - I am insane!!! I met 4 other ladies at church to use their facilities and between us all, we made over 15 different kinds of cookies. I lost count of how many dozen there were. But we filled two tables with them.

I left behind 9 dozen for various upcoming functions at the church and brought home more than I know what to do with. I have frozen two bags worth to bring out at Christmas (cause, sadly, the thousands I left out will probably be all over my hips and butt by then!).
And I have big plans to do this again in two weeks with my mother and daughter - am I crazy, or what?!

And this was the "not so full" table!
