Fridays

I know that out in the "working world" Fridays are the days everyone looks forward to. But here, at home, all day everyday, not so much. By Fridays, my ever thinning patience level is more than completely used up. By Friday, all I want is 15 minutes of peace and quiet alone time. By Friday I am tired of trying to amuse my children and just want them to be able to amuse themselves without killing each other (or sounding like that's what's happening).

This Friday is really no exception. Except that last night DS was not feeling so good, so DH and I were up late waiting to see if he would be okay. We stayed up much later than usual. So, when DD arrived at her usual time (sometime between 6 and 6:30am), I was not very gracious to her. The Ddog (here "D" does NOT stand for "dear") needed to be walked as soon as I rolled over. And she let the world know it. DD wanted breakfast from the moment she realized I was awake. I'm worn out and it's just now 7:30.

DS is still sleeping, hopefully he will wake up in a good mood. Cause we have plans to go to Hershey this morning and that sounds like a lot of fun.

On a happier note, dear friends of ours are headed to the hospital this morning to birth their third child. Waiting, oh so patiently (HA!), for the phone call that all went well.

Snow? Day

December 13 - this will be a day to remember. Today there was no school. Because impending bad weather. That turned out to be.....RAIN. Granted, some of it was icy and some of it froze after it landed on the trees, but the roads remained clear(ish - some tree limbs came down). But on the whole, it wasn't a bad weather day. Not enough to warrant no school. Not that in general, I am opposed to a snow day here and there. But today was DD's Christmas Program at preschool and if there is no school, there is no program and it won't likely be rescheduled. So sad!!!! So pathetic. Can't belive I'm even blogging about it. But, that's how life is right now.

Picture Update

Was just reading past blogs and wanted to update my "readers" about the school pictures. They look (I want to say awful, so bad!) okay. Josh REFUSED to smile, so his picture is a TOUCH grumpy (meaning, a LOT). Abby is all scrunched up with a goofy look on her face and her hair clips are all outta whack. Oh well. Whaddya gonna do? Ordered copies of them anyway. They'll be great to show future dates, eh? ;-)

A long night

DS has lost his pacifier and doesn't know where to find it.
Mother dearest, who wasn't going to win Mommy-of-the-Year award anyway is letting him cry himself to sleep. It's gonna be a long night. He sounds so pathetic!!!! But there's nothing I can do!!

Meanwhile, DH is out for a fancy tux-requiring dinner for work and it's windy as all get-out and spooky!!! Oye. Hoping Poppa comes home quick.
