Recital Time

It's that time again - DD's big dance recital is Friday night. I don't even have her costume alterations finished. Whoops. And they've been in a bag for about 3 months now and are totally wrinkled. Will need to take care of those things in the next few days. Just add them to the LIST.

Tonight is the "dress" rehersal - where they don't actually wear their costumes, but do practice on stage. Two weeks ago, they put on their costumes, but danced in the studio. So which one was actually the dress rehersal?!?!? I dunno. But I remember sitting through this rehersal last year thinking, "OMG, this recital is going to go on for forEVER!!" And, it did. But friends and family came and watched anyway. What troopers!

We've already decided NOT to sign DD up for dance lessons next year. She's done two years and sort of seems to enjoy it, but not a whole lot. And, next year she starts kindergarden, all day. I'd like to wait and see how she adjusts to that before I sign her up for any after school activities. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
