A Great Day

Yesterday was the best day I've had with my kids in a long time. It didn't start out so wonderfully - considering DH and I forgot about the time change (oops). We ended up getting to church quite late (for the service) or quite early (for Sunday School) depending on how you want to look at it. We dropped the kids to their respective rooms and then sat and talked over hot beverages for 15 minutes. It was actually a nice way to start the day.

After Sunday School, we went out to "Salad Bar" for lunch because I had to be back for a handbell rehersal. DH took the kiddos home for naps while I rehearsed. When I got home, the kids were still sleepind, so DH and I got to spend some quiet time together while the sun was still up (what a novel idea).

When the kids DID get up, we took them over to the park for some bike riding. It was a glorious 52 degrees and we just had to be outside. They played on the playground for a while, too. When no one could feel their fingers anymore, we headed to the grocery store for some dinner and dessert fixings.

Kids watched "Cars" while I made dinner (Our Favorite) and after dinner we went outside to roast marshmallows and make smores. How much fun is that?!

Put the kids to bed, watched an old CSI, then Amazing Race - SO LONG ROB & AMBER!!!!! There was definetly some happy dancing going on in this house!
