Day Nine

Once upon a time there was a little girl who wasn't afraid of anything and one time her family went on a Red-Neck RV trip.
Day Nine. Gatlinburg, TN
Well, this morning was fairly relaxed. The kids were up by 7am, so it was time to start the day. Mommy went to take her shower, and Daddy got the kids dressed and breakfast started. We had scrambled eggs and bacon - yum! Then Daddy took his shower and Mommy read another chapter from Charlotte's Web, played towers and other crazy kiddie games. When everyone was dressed and ready to go, we headed out to Patriot Park to board a Trolley to Gatlinburg, to go to the Aquarium. It actually took 2 trolley rides to get there, but it was lots of fun.
The Aquarium was AWESOME. Abby was very excited to go see the sharks. We had to go through lots of fish, first, though. Finally, we got the giant underwater walkway where the sharks were, as well as lots of other fish, and one turtle. T'was very cool. We finished the Aquarium in about an hour and a half, and then decided to do it again (well, the underwater part, anyway). When we went through the second time, they were feeding the sharks, so the turtle was hidden away and we saw a lot more action overhead.
After the Aquarium, we walked around downtown Gatlinburg for a while, just window shopping and looking for a place to have lunch. We decided on Blaine's, Bar and Grill - good food, and not busy (since it was 1:30). Then we walked down the other side of the street and got on the trolley to head back to Pigeon Forge. We stopped in at the Gatlinsburg Welcome Center and then boarded our trolley back to Patriot Park. We did some more shopping right outside the Park and then headed back to our camper for some "Quiet Time". That lasted about 5 minutes! So, we put on a movie ("Shrek") and got a little more time out of it. Mommy spent the time uploading pictures and (shock!) blogging.
Daddy grilled dinner tonight - Italian sausages and hot dogs. Yummm. After dinner he built a fire and we made smores. Our last campfire, sniff, sniff, sniff. Then it was time to get the kiddos to bed. They are beyond exhausted. It was a big day!
